Tech-savvy. It’s a word that gets thrown around in almost any industry today, but its meaning is a bit ambiguous. Is it a certain level of knowledge? A degree of proficiency? Or is it nothing more than having the latest gadgets to help you send emails and do the social media thing?
In short, being tech-savvy, in the real estate field, is having the knowledge and ability to move homes and clients efficiently by using means that will give homes the most exposure possible. For every agent this may vary. Whether it’s relying on emails, texting, or search tools, a tech-friendly agent will undoubtedly have his/her modus operandi for getting you from point A to point B. Whether you are planning to sell, buy, or invest, a tech-savvy agent is important for anyone venturing into the world of real estate.

Using their knowledge of online home sales, a tech-savvy agent will list your home online with the aim to attract as many possible clients as possible. When considering a tech-savvy agent, here are a couple of things to look for:

Remember, tech-savvines is all about efficiency in selling homes, searching for properties, and communicating effectively. A tech-savvy agent can also advise on what works and what doesn’t. Posting a link to poorly done home video tour on Zillow or Craigslist can hurt more then it can help! The initial impact of a new listing is critical in attracting a buyer. Photos should be perfect, description and remarks should be point on and be able to compete against comparable properties.
Tech-savvy agents can read documents that come in by fax when they anywhere (they can go right to an agent’s email), documents can be converted to pdfs just by photographing them on the run and using conversion software, and files and photos can be shared by secure hosting sites.
